This is where Debbie’s passion lies, as being that bridge/facilitator for people to move from feeling hopeless and helpless to feeling empowered and resolute, to making the changes needed in their lives, and begin the healing process.
Debbie has been on a journey of self-discovery for more than 20 years, using many different facilitators and modalities to assist with her own healing. She was gifted Louise Hay’s book, ‘You can Heal Your Life’ in her early 20’s, and recognised instantly, the connection between the mind and the body. Her desire to help others lead her to study Louise’s work and becoming a Heal Your Life workshop facilitator. Unfortunately, the corporate world took priority, but the search for the questions, Why am I here, and What am I here to do, never ceased.
She first discovered Kinesiology in 1995 when she went to a chiropractor who was also working with this modality. She considered doing a course with the practitioner, but the timing wasn’t right. Twenty years later, while holding meditation sessions, a friend asked if she had ever been to see a Kinesiologist. Debbie responded with a resounding “Yes, and I think it’s something I need to study” and said it was like the long-awaited answer flicking the switch and turning the lightbulb on.
Again, the corporate job took precedence, but the dream of becoming a Kinesiologist was never far from sight. She has now been given the opportunity to quit the corporate job and is finally starting her own practice to be able to do what she has always wanted to do, help others to overcome the mental and emotional stresses of life, and be able to shift to a new direction by bridging that gap.
Kinesiology as a modality is very broad and can help with a range of things, from physical to mental to emotional, but what most inspires Debbie, is her ability to be able to empathise with people and their emotions, which is the crux of any ailment in the body. Her passion for the way the body is always communicating and the reasons and emotions behind the ailment is visible in her clear understanding of the link between the two. With a good listening ear, she will assist with bringing clarity and understanding to the table, literally.
